Abstract:
The objective of this work is to examine the effect of temperature and to improve the electrical efficiency on PV cell . To analyze the performance of the PV cell it is tested with water + methanol cooling system. The cooling system design parameters such as thickness, length and methanol percentage are varied according to design of experiment and the results are taken. A regression model is developed with the result of the DOE and with the approach of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) the parameters are optimized and compare with the experimental result. The experiment is carried out at 12PM when the solar radiation is high . Based on the test result, it could concluded that PV cell integrated with the water + methanol cooling system is expected to achieve higher electrical efficiency owing to improved power generation. The present work could be beneficial to understand the effect of temperature on the cell parameters and performance of the water + methanol cooling system PV cell.
